Hello, my name is 8thPrince! This will be my first PH game. I started songwriting in 2012, but I'm not very good at churning them out quickly.
I've only posted 3 songs I've liked on the internet. Of note about me is that I also write instrumentals and vocals to my tracks too. Only recently have I fallen in love with the actual songwriting part of song production. I'm hoping this competition will push me to write more songs.
About my musical palette: I can read sheet music, and play the Tuba. Classical and Modern band music has an influence on my song construction, as well as pop music. My songs fall in the spectrum of pop. I like strong rhythm, emphasis on assonance and consonance, and for each song to have an extended metaphor that ties the song together in a nice bow.
My actual content is inspired by romanticism: strong feelings, connections to natural occurrences, fixation on the mundane, and things being made larger than life. I also like incorporating childish and innocent imagery/themes/words in my writing.
I like pop music and KPop, my favorite writers are Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Shinsadong Tiger, and Jun-gan Di.
