I already stated the facts of why she released s2r yet you choose not to hear and take whatever you say as a fact even when you don't explain nor back it up with anything.
What? American Life damaged get career as well, although nowhere near to the extent of Erotica. COADF was basically an apology for American Life.
This woman never apologizes especially when she hasn't done anything wrong like AL, the only time she did was with the australian fans thing and I was surprised that's why I think she will really tour Australia next tour

Oh I meant an "apology" as in going back to her dance roots to win back her fans. Wasn't COADF originally planned to be a rock album? I think there are a few demos floating around from that era.

There's truth to this.
She did the same thing with 'Bedtime Stories' after the 'Erotica' album.
Though she might not publicly apologize or ask for
Forgiveness for what she believes in (that's never been Madonna's style), she does
Subliminally 'apologizes' in her own way.

Please read carefully, not only do you keep saying the same thing without backing it up but you fail to understand replies to your failed arguments
That's just rude. I am understanding what you are saying, but just disagreeing with it.
Quote:
"So much controversy has swirled around my career this past decade that very little attention ever gets paid to my music. The songs are all but forgotten. While I have no regrets regarding the choices I've made artistically, I've learned to appreciate the idea of doing things in a simpler way. So without a lot of fanfare, without any distractions, I present to you this collection of ballads. Some are old, some are new. All of them are from my heart."
That's a quote from Madonna herself. Something to Remember was released to tone down the controversy and put the focus back into her music. Like I said, she WAS trying to soften her image with the general public. I'm only repeating it because people refuse to understand it.
feeling erotica at one point and feeling smoothie ballad at the point.
feeling political at one point and feeling disco at the other point.
that's my releasing theory.
I understand That's a plausible theory as well. I just looked at why she might have gone from AL to COADF or Erotica to Bedtime Stories in terms of what it meant to her career.
what do you think will happen after mdna? will there be an acoustic record?
in my mind i assume her next tour will be a greatest hits tour.
so there can be a remix record of her hits as well. idk.

quick a thread related pic from quebec.
I want her to release that rock album project she was planning before she turned COADF into a dance album. I just want something different from her, MDNA just felt like the same-old, same-old.
I would love a greatest hits tour but I don't think Madonna will ever do one.
i was never really into that whole rock chick attitude tbqh. i know these were her roots playing in a rock related band but i never felt her with a guitar.
and i don't think she'll put on a rock show with nearly 60yo.

but who knows, she's madonna.
Yeah that's true, but I think a rock show from Madonna would be amazing
