Placing at the runner-up spot is Jennifer Lopez with her smash worldwide hit for On The Floor. I have to say Jennifer came out of nowhere and suddenly she came back and delivered this infectious hit and thus resulting to one of the phenomenal hits of 2011. At first listen, you will be in a nostalgic mode as you try to figure out what classic tune it was sampled to and you will remember that it is Lambada, which is another phenomenal hit back then. When this song came out, I instantly liked it and up to now I get excited and it makes me wanna dance whenever I hear it. This is probably J.Lo’s biggest hit after a long time since her classic All I Have. Having Pitbull as the featured artist with this one also adds flavor to the song. Jennifer Lopez did a great job in letting us feel the success of what the classic Lambada had achieved back then especially to the new generation of party people. I am really amazed on the success this song had achieved for last year, hands down to the amazing production and songwrites behind On The Floor. I bet you all agree with me Jennifer made a big comeback with this song as I can observe you all placed this song so high in your respective lists. I am definitely a big fan of Jennifer Lopez since the late 90’s and if she continues to release great dance tunes, I will be here supporting her.

This is no surprise to see Britney Spears having my #1 song for the year once again, and this time with her best single from Femme Fatale for Till The World Ends. This song is simply pure pop perfection. At first listen, I instantly fell in love with the sexy lyrics and the catchy “Oh oh oh…” part that got stucked on my head for a long time. Everything about this song is great; the production; beat, lyrics and the music video. Till The World Ends is the epitome of Pop music for the year 2011. Britney delivered a fun and happy apocalyptic underground party video which surely fits the concept of the song. She even dances gracefully with the video which can be better seen on the dance version which I prefer more. Having it remixed with Nicki Minaj and the song-writer Ke$ha adds more flavor for this song as it catapulted it to peak at #3 on Billboard Hot 100 and having enough longetivity in the charts. I can say that I really enjoyed the Femme Fatale era with singles being released and the music videos I enjoyed watching it especially Till The World Ends. I will surely listen to this song when the world ends literally this year as they say. I can’t wait for Britney for her next record, hope it won’t be too long. As for now, I now conclude my Best Of 2011 with the song of the year: Till The World Ends by pop princess Britney Spears.
