Why do people have to do this only when someone dies? That's sad
Commemoration. People don't just buy old songs without some impetus. It's not much different from an old song getting a boost from a commercial, just that the circumstances are more severe.
This is one of the most tumultuous times I can remember in Itunes history. We have the Superbowl effect, the tragic death of Whitney Houston, and the Grammys all within a week of each other.
Why do people have to do this only when someone dies? That's sad
She had been out of the spotlight for years. There was no real reason to buy Whitney's music or talk about her except for the occasional "she had a great voice, what a shame" comment when she came up in conversation. But her death brings back a lot of memories for people, especially since she was in her prime more recently than MJ.
I'm so pissed, this is ********. Her label need to rethink this. They should release it to itunes two weeks from now. Do another big performance right before that if they have too.
