it feels more like a tribute cause it's the same thing 1-to-1. they didn't even try to hide it. if it was a rip off, it would have had some things differently to divert, i would assume. it's like those doll characters by that new zealand artist she used as her characters in the u+ur hand video, or the painting that was inspiration for the trouble single cover.
but i love these old movie aesthetics (be it schlock or gloss) and would love if she went full ahead into something like that as an on going theme (like with the funhouse era).
Apparently it was only the text font...
