I was writing this yesterday on the bus to my friend's house (who's also a songwriter…)

First Verse:

Came up with a cute lil bridge-like chorus, might experiment a bit with the structure.

My first full song in a long time. This is about finding peace with regards to a relationship that's gone sour.

Well, the most I can tell you is that when I'm around people, I feel very alone and independent. I don't really judge the world like they judge me, I just let my mind take over the process and let my heart speak on the paper. So, I tune everyone out without my intent to, but it's only because I enjoy being secluded outside of my home and included inside of it. I'm more comfortable when I can emulate the feeling of being alone, but not lonely whenever I write. So, when I was riding on the bus to my friend's house to write songs, I was really feeling ready to start writing a self-reflection piece and that's where Alone came from. I really enjoy looking at the world when I'm not included in it…

My song was inspired by how I attempted suicide a few years back and I felt abandoned by those who were "supposed" to be there for me. Took you a century to say, took you a second to walk away. It also plays with the idea that you can never move on even after knowing that time supposedly "heals". Those wounds will stay with you forever, buried deep underneath. When I write songs, I don't usually write about my own experiences but sometimes it coincidentally reflects a moment in my life. It's kinda cool.
