I fear once Maroon 5 release the remix version of Moves Like Jagger with rapper Mac Miller (which should happen any moment now) the fight for Adele (or anybody else) will come up harder and harder.
Adele would need to make some live appearances to fight well (Maroon 5 rise this week came out all from the NFL live performance, which they nailed as well as usual), and until she doesn't recover from chest infection, it can't happen.
I hope Coldplay's Paradise finds a spot in the top 10, but honestly, even though it's really JUST a catchy pop song, I'm very happy about the impressive slayage of Moves Like Jagger.
Only thing I'd love would be Maroon 5 to release Just A Feeling as a fall single (it'd be such a perfect "sad" song for the cold months) before working on their 4th album, but I believe they won't, riding only onto MLJ powerful impact until they won't stop touring at the end of December.
I look very forward to next Maroon 5 album, because for once Adam is gonna write about POSITIVE love concept, and not about breaking up (thank you, Anne V., for inspiring him happy tones... if the results of his newfound love stability is anything like the chorus he wrote for Stereo Hearts, I'm absolutely keen at discovering what the new loving ballads will sound like).
Anyway, I had predicted Guetta+Usher and the new LFMAO would be smashing soon too... and here they come.
I'm also DELIGHTED for any success Skylar Grey will grab. She's a monster talent.
