I don't know if they'll drop him, the show would lose credibility if they did. Only two of the six winners have been successful, although some of the other contestants have been able to launch successful careers, it doesn't say much for the show when the winners tend to fail more often than not.

This situation reminds me of American Idol in the states.

Kelly & Carrie are the only winners that had/have a huge amount of success. They can still get platinum albums & singles. The rest of the winners have had their hits & successful albums here & there, but none to a level of superstardom you would expect from a show as popular as Idol.

Why didn't the other have more successful careers?

Honestly, I can see why Joe flopped. His single & video are horrible. I can't listen to the song without cringing, its just so bad! And don't let me start about the video

Leona is the only X Factor winner that achieved worldwide success, right? Although she couldn't maintain that success.

It's not horrible at all considering the high sales of Recovery, which is still selling like hotcakes every week. Give NL time, it's not the kind of song that would get a lot of Airplay.
