I'll admit that I haven't listened to very many albums this year which sucks but the ones I have heard, I've loved (for the most part). Some of these albums you may like, some you may actually dislike but just remember it's based on my top picks from the ones I've heard so far!

I really wasn't a fan of Carly after her smash hit "Call Me Maybe" back in 2012, so its only normal that I was cautious when approaching her new material. It turns out that this album ended up being exactly the kind of pop album I love. I love throwback songs that give off 80's and 90's vibes and Carly surely didn't disappoint this time. Top tracks: Run Away With Me, Let's Get Lost and Emotion.
Several musical acts rose and fell this year. Some hit their arguable peak critically and commercially while others seemed to hit rock bottom and are headed on a sinking ship to oblivion. Thankfully, these next 10 artists are not headed on a downhill slope, rather (at least in my opinion) have a bright future ahead of them in the coming years! To be clear, this specific countdown measures the artists who "won" 2015 and are the most (musically) relevant to me! Hihi
~ Top track: When We Were Young ~
Adele completely overpowered music this year. The fact that she is landing at #4 on this years top artists list, yet she only released her album "25" just over a month ago is shocking. I wasn't a fan of her during the 21 era. I found her overrated but this year she really won me over.
So the hardest part when creating this best of was coming up with ONLY 20 songs for the countdown. There were so many amazing pop/r&b songs that came out this year that this was truly a struggle for me to decide but here it is after weeks of deliberation. And as a disclaimer: with me being a major pop fan, most of the songs in this countdown will be pop. So sit down, grab a bucket of popcorn and get ready to be entertained!

What a comeback! Justin really proved his status in pop with this track. "What Do You Mean?" is both catchy, and unique. 2015 was a great year for Justin, not just commercially, but musically as well (most importantly). This song is what actually caused me to get back into Justin and now I listen to "Purpose" almost everyday of the week!
This list was fairly easy to come up with surprisingly. There were some really amazing movies out this year and I think I did a pretty good job at acknowledging them and placing them in their prospective rankings. Will you agree? You'll just have to find out!

Granted I knew nothing of this franchise before seeing this movie, I must say it truly is one of the best post-apocalyptic action movie I've ever seen. The feminist undertones and strong character development really help carry this movie along. The action sequences were insanely well done I'm still in awe at it all.
2015 was a great year for music videos. The 24 hour VEVO streaming record was broken not once, but twice this year and for good reason! This list will comprise the top 5 best music videos released this year. It was difficult only picking five videos but there were some particular stand outs that really required no thought. Will your fave make it? Stay tuned and let me know
what you think of the list so far!

Drake's "Hotline Bling" lands at no. 4 on this countdown for a plethora of reasons. The first and most important reason this dude has made an appearance is because of how visually appealing the video is. I love the simplicity and replay value. It's a basic video in the general sense but in
reality it's got a lot going on and I appreciate that. One of the best male videos released this year
by far. Whatcha think?
