Taylor already got Woman Of The Year by Billboard last year, Adele was too late in the year to get it because there was still debate on whether she'd even release this year. So **** out of here coming after Gaga's deserving title.

Queen slayed this photoshoot, truly her revival. Can't wait to see her Woman Of The Year acceptance speech and performance at the ceremony.

She won a Grammy, she was recognized worldwide by her performances at the Grammy and (especially) at the Oscars. She had a ver sucessful jazz tour. Her image was totally revamped and her vocal ability was finally recognized as well. Not to mention her social projects that most pop music alienated people are unaware of AND she's a pop singer with a leading role on one of the biggest shows of the last few years.

Oh....AND a song about rape, a very serious subject from a very serious documentary. The song has high reviews and is even a contender for the Oscars.

This is more relevant to be nominated WOMAN OF THE YEAR, than any other pop girl who just SOLD MILLIONS OF RECORDS.

I'm not surprised that the fanbases discrediting this are the same fanbases who rely greatly on sales/charts when defending their faves. It IS possible to be the Woman of the Year without large amounts of commercial success that year. Ya know, being philanthropic, successfully revamping her career, garnering widespread respect from industry professionals and the GP (including a Grammy), and finding success and talent through other mediums besides pop music are all quite major accomplishments which are a bit more important than just commercial success (which C2C and their tour had anyway)

hence why she is not the Artist of the year Is it that hard to read ? Most of the things they awarded her for are not even related to music, it's about her Reinventing herself, helping other people with TIHTY and the Born This Way Foundation/The Emotion Revolution , winning Songwriters Icon Award and so on.
