This sounds like the way Gaga cemented synth pop onto the Top 40, re-invented eccentricity and fine art in the pop culture/music sphere with her outfits and videos, and also has significant social impact with her polarizing image, shocking performance art pieces, political music and imagery, and activism for the LGBT. She truly is EVERY icon and RS definitely chose her for a reason as pop culture of the 2010s would be completely different had it not been for her.
This is all in just 7 years. A living legend indeed
