The guy said "pull a Kanye on whoever wins like he did in 2009 when Taylor won".

Her lack of nomination this year, is what led her to tweet about an issue that she feels has been major flaw in the past VOTY nominations. I'm not the first person to say this. I don't know why we have to continually repost the same idea over and over again (and I'm not just talking about the Nicki supporters, but thats a different conversation).
Her RT'ing the tweet about pulling a Kanye was just a harmless kii--and was done after she posted her tweet about the nominations. You can use that to discredit her entire message and make this ALL ABOUT TAYLOR if it fits your argument.

As for that tweet, Taylor's is the only one with skinny girls that MTV's got for VOTY. And Anaconda is a song that literally says "**** the skinny bitches." She's dissing Taylor
And for the millionth time, WHY DO YOU ALL IGNORE BEYONCÉ AND KENDRICK'S NOMINATIONS FOR VOTY!?!?!?
|
She never mentioned the incident, for one. What she said was she would be up there accepting her award. Which I believe she meant when or if they change the nominations.
I think you're missing the fact that retweeted a tweet saying that she was not shading anyone else long before Taylor put her two cents in. She has been talking about the media favoring skinny girls, on defense of Anaconda for a year now. She wasn't talking about Taylor then, and she's not talking about her now. It was a general statement she made.

And I can understand the tweet can be interpreted as broad and rather than at Taylor, but Nicki was also saying she was mad Anaconda wasn't nominated itself because it was successful & a meme, and has never made a mess like this over nominations.
The truth is, she was mad that she wasn't nominated this year individually, not because she's always snubbed, and not certainly because she's black, thick, or a woman. When Taylor called her out, she quickly claimed it was about all of those things.

Woah, implications I'm racist becauE I'm not sitting down and agreeing with Nicki's BS. V shocking and v much original. And it doesn't lend ANY credibility at all to the "white media fears being called racist."
Darling, do yourself a favor and stop talking. I know I'm not racist, I don't need your approval to know I'm not, and I definitely don't care for your tacky, try-hard shade one way or another. So please, keep throwing it. You only make yourself look bad here.
As for "pillaging black culture," SJW's need to stop playing the "It's my culture!" game. We're supposed to share and embrace cultures rather than order people to only use stuff that originated in theirs. But.... If you say so.... Give us our ****ing language back. And tell Bey to stop taking inspiration from white artists like Madonna. It's cultural appropriation. And If you're missing my point, I don't actually mean this. I just want to show how ridiculous you all come across.

Okay.
Nicki's points about racism/sexism & the media are CORRECT/VALID.
But this issue was not about them at first.
Nicki was mad she wasn't nominated for Anaconda, and let out Taylor & Miley shade in the process because she was angry.
She got called out on it by Taylor, which she certainly didn't see coming, and had to cover her ass.
So she acted as if her issues were about racism/sexism in the media, which they were not.
That's the issue.

I still don't see where Nicki point out Taylor.
The description that can seen for Taylor can be seen for Katy, Gaga or any other white female singer. Yet Taylor thought it was about her. Just like last time when Nicki made a fool of herself thinking they were talking about her when I don't remember who wasn't even thinking of her.

The fact people trying to defend Taylor have to resort to lies such as Nicki deleting the tweet. Interesting

I really have a hard time deciding how I feel about this. On one hand, Nicki was subtweeting Taylor. That is clear as day. I don't think it's entirely unreasonable for Taylor to be put off by her nom being reduced to "skinny white bitches always win". Even if Nicki raises valid points, Taylor is still an artist and a human with strong feelings attached to her work.
Ultimately she doesn't get much sympathy from me though because she tried to hijack this thing and turn it into an opportunity to score herself some SJW cookies. She's been able to do it before (lol the sexist media always has to guess which ex I'm singing about even tho I exclusively date A+++++ listers). She needs to learn that pandering to the SJWs is a double-edged sword.

Taylor's idea of feminism is that of one-track minded white feminism, and she's eager to pull out the females should support each other card despite being fresh off a hit single built on a feud with a fellow pop star.
People with COMMON SENSE and a sliver of intelligence will realize Taylor was 100% wrong to hijack a conversation about an issue that had nothing to do with her. NO, Nicki did NOT call her out - she did not mention Taylor's name; Taylor took offense because YES, she benefits from that privilege and as most privileged people do in the face of being called out, she tried to turn the conversation into one where Nicki was the wrong party.
Y'all will sit down here and defend Taylor to the pearly gates, because she's putting out good pop music and y'all are internally racist af.
But you know, y'all do y'all.

She was using the race card before Taylor's response. You all need to do your homework before commenting, mess.
