Count Olaf in the movie was so much different than the one from the books. Like you are supposed to hate him, not symphatize. The character was similar to many Jim Carrey's roles like Ace Ventura and etc.

Exactly. I'm not sure it was Jim's fault though, he did put his all into the performance. It just wasn't who Count Olaf was supposed to be.
the last book was a big F.U! a whole series of mysteries and i was expecting in the end for all the revelations and everything to be connected ala harry potter and even better but NO he didnt answer anything from a 9/10 the whole series became a 5/10

I think this was the scene were Olaf officially gains custody of the kids.
