Finished my first listen through. There's so much good stuff! I'm naturally partial to Fleetwood Mac, but "Barracuda" and "One Way Or Another" hit me this time like I didn't expect. I enjoyed the Pretenders cuts, but I wasn't familiar with most of them before, so I'm reserving proper judgment.
Yeah, The Pretenders kinda sorta sneak up on you as the best band here. "Talk of the Town" is the most gorgeously produced song - I mean, picturesque.
"Don't Get Me Wrong" is my fave by them, but if it weren't for "Talk of the Town" we wouldn't have this amazing song be the perfection that it actually is:
