It happens every year. And it's not really that. It's the end of the year and people just want to reconnect with the past, so they buy the big hits from 2009 they can remember off the top of their heads. It's usually because they only get to download a few songs a year, but then get iTunes Gift Cards for Christmas and well, then they download all of the big hits from the year! Newer songs usually remain stable in sales, but will fall in position. Unless the song is one of the more popular ones of right now (like TT or BR), then their sales will increase a lot.

I'd say that's more just coincidence. Bad Romance has peaked in digital sales, and after peaking then you fall.

It's #2. Which is actually up from last time I checked, which it was #4. As said, even though it's falling in positions, it's sales are going up. BR is expected to sell 280k+ this week! Most likely over 300k.

By the way Bad Romance is still #4, the iTunes chart is jsut frozen on the actual iTunes chart.

I'm using the RSS feed. My iTunes won't let me onto the store and hasn't for the past three weeks.

It has this morning's time, but my RSS feed never seems to have the correct time.

And if the feed never has the right time then I think that means it's slightly old, just keep changing the number after limit= in the URL to chnage the feed, but it can give you another old one so just keep changing it till it shows the current time.

Well, yes, I always do that. I put a few 0s in to make it show me the top 1000. It's always up to date. Well, except for now. Usually, it'll either show the current time, or 12 hours ago. So it's 4:38 pm right now, so the feed would show today's date for 4:38 pm or 4:38 am. I think that's just a screw up on the RSS feed for me. However, it's not doing that now. It's back to showing Christmas Eve at 10:51 am. Probably just not updating as the iTunes people are on Christmas vacation.
