Britney started to decay fast in sales after Oops, I'm afraid. Meanwhile Taylor is maintaining Her immense success in the US (some would say She is getting bigger considering Her opening sales continue to increase) while expanding Her empire outside of the US. Blackout being Britney's 5th album and her career low at that point, compared to 1989, also a 5th album, which is looking to be Taylor's peak

It was done by the people behind the scenes who wrote her songs, produced her music, put together the album, made her choreo, etc. Britney's artistic input is negligible, she isn't a musician, she deserves absolutely no credit for any perceived impact you may bring up.
