The thing is though that this is a JAZZ album. Not a POP (which is short for popular music) album. I doubt the youth would be looking out for jazz music like they would for pop.

Didn't Katy have 5 singles that went number 1 on one album with no problem? So now it is an excuse.

Was my original comment suppose to be something smart or relevant. It is common knowledge that Katy has three underperforming singles and only two number 1s. That is a decline from 5 number 1s. I wasn't trying to be smart, I was stating a fact. We finish though.

Firstly, this is a Jazz album in 2014, not POP.

Secondly, the album barely had any promo nor airplay, so the casual fans will hear about it sooner rather than straight away.

Thirdly, the real monsters won't rush to buy this no matter how dedicated they are because they probably will have 0 plays on the album unless they are up for giving it a listen.

Lastly, the album sales climate has been very underwhelming this year, so to say a Jazz album got 120k alone first week in 2014 is pretty much an achievement.

But dude, I just don't care about that. I am personally disappointed by the era in general way (even tho she will get two other 6 million sellers this year which is huge, even more in 2014) but that's not even the point.

You "stated a fact" but it's not even connected to Cheek to Cheek.
