That song is so relatable to me. I fell in love with someone a couple of years ago. We were happy but due to many issues together with our lack of immaturity, our relationship ended prematurely.
I have been in a few more relationships since, but I can never feel what I felt when I was with him.
It's hard to accurately judge Katy's songwriting when most of her best songs have another topliner credited, but considering most of her songs where she is the only credited lyricist come out incredibly syrupy and bland, I'll give her a 4.
Katy doesn't really know her way around a metaphor, either.
