Jlo and Shakira's albums flopped because they no longer have relevance in the US. Mariah did less promotion than all 3 of them. Plus comparing Mariah's 14th album with Britney's 8th album isn't fair as Mariah has more longevity than Britney in the grand scheme of things. It was a flop. The Britney stans act as if she's this ubiquitous artist, yet she produces such low numbers. If she is the princess of pop, she should have sold way more off name alone. If she's above all her peers as the stans claim, why does she need promotion to sell albums? Shouldn't her name alone be the promotion? Guess not.

600k in sales does not mean 600k bought it. Unless she sold it for a dollar. Plus the fact that she had a bigger peak than majority of her peers and she's where she is now makes her career look even more front loaded. It shows that she had no real sales consistency in her career and that she peaked relatively fast and declined even faster. I mean 15 years of consistently high sales is better than 5 of really high sales and 10 years of dismal/decent sales.

As of now, SHAKIRA. has sold over 250K in the US in three months. It's not that bad...

U have to have in mind the effort she puts in her works ..and she doesnt put any effort for a decade now.her career declined the less compared to the peak she got... u know that after a peak comes the decline at least in sales. U cant sell 20m forever but u csn decline healthier and that what brit did compared to the struggles and all the things shes been through..
