Not really though. They merely took the unofficial numbers and wrote a piece about it. Luckily, they were wrong about how it would turn out but it does not mean that they are a joke. They simply offered an analysis. They still have credibility. If you took their article as 100% fact then you were reading it wrong.
EDIT: I only really read the first paragraph of their article. All that stuff mentioned about the quality of the film is a joke indeed. I liked it a lot. The specical effects were great too. I don't know what they were talking about although they were right that the scenes weren't exactly memorable and a lot of it seemed strung together.
It's not the next Pulp Fiction but I'm sure it wasn't trying to be.
