I told you all he is no different than the Popes before him and you didn't believe me!! stop being so blind, all of them are the same!! and the irony of a Pope talking about child abuse...
Considering he's a part of the catholic church, I'm not surprised. And it's not like we can expect such an old institution to just magically be 100% alright with everything gay. The fact that he said gays aren't horrible people is even too much progress for the church.
No
some of the ministers and officials that are serving the Catholic church perform child abuse, not loving families. Its like why would a couple who obviously want this child more than anything in the world and have had to go through many avenues to have a child. How is it abuse ? What an idiot...
His PR team is amazing. I bet he doesn't actually "anger" the traditionalists behind the scenes and instead, that is just a story to have the media shed the Catholic institution as a whole in a new light. He's better than the previous pope by far ,but is definitely not the revolutionary that people make him out to be.
No child abuse is when catholoc priests touch children inappropriately
Gay couples adopting is goving the children a stable home and 2 caring parents! What a prick
I never even understood why the pope even matters? Isn't the whole point of it that we (humans) are all created equal in the fact that we all sin and need salvation? Who is this guy and why is everyone convinced his opinions matter? I guess it's historical context but wasn't the pope used in history as essentially a pawn to dictate the catholic agenda?
You guys, he was misquoted. In the original interview, he said he supported gay marriage, but did not support gay adoption for the same reason he doesn't support single parent households and it confuses him how people think that this would result in ideal parenting.

I don't know why anyone would expect the head a religious organization to support gays when the Bible is pretty clear about its opinion of homosexuality. Stop seeking validation from people who don't support you, and just live your life. As long as you are legally allowed to adopt, who cares what some wrinkled virgin thinks?
