A lot of people are saying that it'll be out July 8th
but nothing has been OFFICIALLY confirmed

I cannot believe Lionsgate are pushing this so hard.

It's only just made a profit. Why on earth are they splitting the third film into two parts when they don't know whether the second film is going to succeed? It seems so stupid.

I think they're just desperate for a franchise after The Hunger Games, but were not even half way through that franchise yet.

I suppose they hope the sequel will see a jump in gross ala Twilight, but I doubt it. It seems as if the Divergent franchise has been forced upon us.

I've already seen it (twice). I saw it prior to looking at the RT scores (which are now higher) and I think it's deserving of a more fresh rating. Don't rely on RT to tell you whether you should see it in theaters or not. make your own decision... that's what being "divergent" is all about. are you a slave to the masses or can you choose for yourself?

Still nowhere near Twilight, HP or HG numbers, but it bodes well for Insurgent.

I love the books and thought the film was a little disappointing, it's definitely not a bad film though.
And anyway its extremely rare for a film to be anywhere near as good as the book.
I think it's just because of all the hype surrounding HG at the moment and I personally think the films are enormously good adaptions of the books so yeah.

But anyway, really excited for the next film and so glad that this hasn't flopped!
