But that's just once and then you just have always open.
You're misinformed. That's not because it's been exposed to the air. That's because of the length that the milk's been out in general. If you keep milk, even in a sealed container, away for like a month or two without drinking it, it's going to go bad.
Yup, and each gallon of bagged milk is divided into three sealed bags. One bag is not going to last long enough to ever get old, which was my point. Once you finish a bag, you open a new one that is fresh, whereas your carton milk is still the same milk that's already been exposed.
