This song has just reminded me so much of the early 2000s. I just love the way this song feels, and the melody is amazing I just couldn't keep it away from my head .
“Stay The Night”
Zedd Feat. Hayley Williams Clarity (Deluxe Edition) Peak: 2 / Woc: 11*

I first liked Hayley's collaboration with B.O.B., but I like this one a bit more because it shows a different side to her singing.
"Locked Out Of Heaven”
Bruno Mars Unorthodox Jukebox Peak: #4 / Woc: 10

It may not be as catchy as Bruno's other songs, but it is still quite satisfying and really surprised me that Bruno can make a song like this
“Carry On”
fun. Some Nights Peak: #1(x1) / Woc: 27

This has to be my favorite fun. song after Some Nights. I just like the empowering feel it has, but it took me so long to realize that, in fact it took me half a year to get it

this song might have been very controversial last year, but man was it insanely catchy
"Summertime Sadness”
Lana Del Rey Born To Die Peak: #3 / Woc: 12
Quote:
Ok, the remix might have 203 plays from me this year, but the original also had 876 plays, so technically the total goes toward the original. Anyway, this has always been my favorite from "Born To Die", the haunting production and catchy chorus just gets me every time

One of my favorite songs of the year, this disco-feel song just always makes me want to dance and sing along . And no one can resist the songs pre-chorus , you just have to sing-along because, we've cone too far to give up who we are...
“Here’s To Never Growing Up”
Avril Lavigne Avril Lavigne Peak: #5 / Woc: 16
Quote:
Avril's songs might be starting to sound a bit repetitive, but I have to admit that doesn't mean they aren't great songs that are quite catchy
One of the other few dance songs that I loved last year. this song just gets me in the mood to not only dance, but also to sing (if only I could this high )
I've always been a big OneRepublic fan, and ever since I got the album, this song was already one of my favorites. Due to it's encouraging meaning and production, no wonder why it has the 3rd longest stay on my charts .
“Atlas”
Coldplay The Hunger Games:Catching Fire - OST Peak: 1(x4) / Woc: 14*
Quote:
this song came out of no where and surprised me that I just had to listen to it over and over. Quite quiet at first and later builds up, listening to this song is a whole new experience. This is why it rose up so quickly up mt charts
“Radioactive”
Imagine Dragons Night Visions Peak: #1(x2) / Woc: 13
Quote:
Another of my favorite songs this year. Radioactive just pumps me up to stand up and shout along to its chorus. This was my #1 song on my mid-year chart, but apparently 5 other songs were able to surpass it in terms of plays and total radio and youtube views from me . But Still, I'm glad It made it this far
“Still Into You”
Paramore Paramore Peak: #1(x2) / Woc: 11
Quote:
Paramore may have changed their sound a lot in their latest self-titled album. But there were still some songs that reflected why we loved them in the first place.
"Thrift Shop"
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis feat. Wanz the Heist Peak: #2 / Woc: 9
Quote:
the main song that has got my interest back into rap and R&B music last year. I still think this one deserves it spot this high because it is still quite a different rap song, and gives an interesting meaning.
“Demons”
Imagine Dragons Night Visions Peak: #1(x3) / Woc: 16
Quote:
I was shocked myself that this song had more plays than this year's front runner for #1 "Radioactive". but it seems that for me that meaning in this song has pushed it beyond radioactive that has made it place here so high in my chart. This was also my second song to reach over 2000 plays last year
This one has to be my favorite OneRepublic song of all time, although I received this song at first with lukewarm treatment. It gradually grew and even when It fell of my chart, it was still being played at least 4 times a week, it just shows how this song has really influenced my taste last 2013
And The #1 Song IS....
“Highway Don’t Care”
Tim McGraw Feat. Taylor Swift & Keith Urban Two Lanes Of Freedom Peak: #1(x7) / Woc: 31*
Quote:
OK, those who have been following my weekly chart countdown would have known that this song has been destroying everything on it. With it's insane longevity on my chart with at the week I counted this songs plays for 2013. The total was 3,934 plays . Almost twice the total of "Feel Again" with 2,033 plays which is this year's #2 song. Anyway, you might be wondering why this song did so well on my chart. Well, it's because it has had a very big impact on my life in 2013 in general last year. It was one of the first country songs that I loved last year. SO it has expanded my taste into country music. This was also the favorite song of my Aunt who I loved so much that passed away last year. This song was played at her funeral, and every day on it stuck with me. I have been playing it almost everyday last year since September just so that I could face the hard times I was having with myself, my friends and my family. I was deteriorating with my relationships with my friends, I got a Diagnosis of a disorder, death of a close loved one, and never being able to see my parents starting last year . So it is only fair that this is my best song of 2013 not just because its insane amount of plays, but because it is the reason that I'm still alive and didn't take my own life out of misery., and the big impact it has had on my life in 2013
( * ) = Currently still charting
( ** ) = charting started since late 2012
