Things like that happens every day and we don't notice it. Many US companies are more powerful than some countries' presidents. They can even choose what presidents these countries should have.
The situation in Africa, Asia and Latin America is just terrible.
I personally think that being the world's policeman is not wrong but the fact that they take advantage of that is not good.
Their power is not the problem, is the way they use it.
