Cold As Stone
"I wish that I was cold as stone, then I wouldn't feel the pain"

Cold As Stone is probably one of the most beautiful, depressing songs of Lady Antebellum's career, and it features an incredible instrumental solo in the song's conclusion.

19 Natalia Kills (feat. Billy Kraven)
Nothing Lasts Forever
"Feed me lies and eat my fear"

Nothing Lasts Forever is a sleek, powerful duet that instantly comes to mind as one of Perfectionist's best songs.

18 Rihanna
Drunk on Love
"I wear my heart on my sleeve, always let love take the lead"

Drunk On Love is one of the few truely great songs from Talk That Talk, and the lyric I cited above is my favorite from the entire album.

17 Lady Gaga
Road To Love
"Get your hot rods ready to rumble, cause we're gonna fall in love tonight"

Road To Love is perhaps one of the most underrated songs from Born This Way, but it's always been one of my favorites. The song's bridge is one of my favorite parts on the entire album, although I could've lived without Gaga repeating "die" fifty times. It also wouldn't have hurt to have included the song's final chorus, which is included in the lyric booklet, but not in the actual song.

Invading My Mind
"my destiny, misery, this energy; it's invading my mind"

Invading My Mind is a Gaga-RedOne collab that I have dubbed "The Legilimancy Song" (see: Harry Potter). It's infectious and dance and pop and the production is a bit reminiscent of Judas.

15 Evanescence
End of the Dream
"Follow your heart till it bleeds as we run towards the end of the dream"

End of the Dream was one of the songs from Evanescence's latest album that I loved upon first listen. The lyric that I cited above is one of my favorite parts of the entire album.

14 Lady Gaga

"I wish I could be strong without permission"

Once you get past the fact that neaarly half this song is meaningless ******** trying to be German, you realize that it's an excellent empowerment song. Although **** is aimed at females, its message remains relatable to men; wishing that you could be strong without having to pretend to be something you're not.

13 Joe Jonas
All This Time
"I wanna take you to a place where love is something more than you imagine"

All This Time is the opening track of his album, and it's a great little pop song about wanting to get back together with somebody (who may or may not be named Taylor).

12 Adele
Rumour Has It
"Bless your soul, you've got your head in the clouds"

The chorus of Rumour Has It is simple, yet it's undeniably infectious. This song is one of the poppiest and most upbeat songs on Adele's album, and it's also one of my personal favorites.

11 Beyonce
1+1
"Algebruh"

I listened to this song a few dozen times when it first turned up online, and I also watched Beyonce's TV debut of the song and its video. 1+1 is a touching, beautiful, romantic ballad that puts me into such a calm mood.
