You can't make a law or whatever your solution for it in one paragraph. There are people known as the legislative branch who propose the laws that are sometimes as big as books. None of us is going to have the perfect answer if you write it in a paragraph. You need to have all points of view and you have to have a COMPROMISE. That's how our constituition (America) was written. Based on the COMPROMISES between the representatives/delegates from different states. One side is not going to have the right answers. And the correct one isn't going to be a paragraph. Opinions of what should happen are not correct solutions. So stop ****ing arguing about the same thing over and over again. You don't have to be one sided all the time.
lolololololololol Bitch!

While I commend GaGa for stepping up to the plate in situations like this one here, I don't see how one can stop bullying. Making a law against bullying won't really "stop" it. There are laws against more serious crimes, yet many people still do them. Plus, this has been going on for years. However, I definitely commend her for saying "enough is enough." Bullying is running wild in every day life, and not many people address it.

It's not being who's politically correct/incorrect. It's about awareness! I commend Gaga for that, even if she doesn't make a dent into making a law; at least she tried and made *others* be aware that it's a serious issue.

Before we knock our schools, give some credit for trying.
At my school, we have a zero tolerance for bullying - hell in MY DISTRICT, the bully faces being removed from the school if bullying occurs. Of course, there's intervention. The bully gets his due process (like any criminal), but if it does not cease, then he/she is forcefully withdrawn and sent to another far off campus. Parent has to provide transportation.
As a classroom teacher, I do my best to spot out bullying, but before you blame the teachers, know that much of the bullying goes on OUTSIDE the classroom. That means, during lunch, after school or through facebook/text messages. When I discover cases of b ullying (through the counselor), it has always been that the kids were harassing the victim during lunch or after school. During lunch, the kids are out of our hands and are monitored by administration while we have our lunch. Sure, we can tell if a kid is withdrawn or upset, but if a kid puts on a brave face, we may not know what's happening. I've told my kiddos time and time again, they MUST notify an adult if bullying is occuring.

They could make a law that condemns young people (including teenager, but to a lesser degree) whether it be jail or rehab, for cyber/bullying if the victim commits suicide or its harassed and then killed. It's very difficult to make a law on this, specially because the victim possess the ability to.. ignore. But America must know that we all are not that confident enough, we all have not passed through the same things, we all do not think the same and therefore we all react differently on each situation. This deserves a more deep research. THIS DESERVES ACTION.

If HAZING is illegal and most colleges have banned it then I don't see how the same can't be applied for bullying.
I never knew it was such a serious issue in NA until I came here and everyday I'd see a commercial about bullying hotline.

I just can't imagine why she might have actually been crying over it.

All I got to say is THANK YOU GAGA, she's trying to make this world a better place and for me is all that matters. Who cares if she's not erradicating totally bullying, obviously she won't. But if she's helping to combat the problem I think the least she deserves is our support for that.
I'm really shocked about how so many people is blinded by many factors.

Very gallant and heartwarming for her; however, bullying, in all of its forms, will prove to be quite elusive.
It'll never end.
There can be things done to help, but it will always remain a presence in our lives.

Explain me how she can make a difference in this special situation without using her global media power.
This is not a donation, which I don't know if you know but she duplicated the amount of money raised for Japan and I have never heard it anywhere on the press.

You know what, whatever. Lady Gaga won't change bullying for me, she's not even in my country for god's sake. If she really wants to do this, good for her. I would love to see the results, i hope such results are not just a couple of TV interviews.

This post is more positive, even if its barely there.
But come on, we have to admire someone who is willing to speak up and do something. She takes action instead of just running her mout. That has to be something positive and one you can't even dismiss. Lets hope for a better future

Well, as far as Gaga and her involvement in politics, it's definitely beneficial for her to build awareness.
