My idea is the setting is in a hotel room in Japan. It would be a tribute to Avril's loyal fans in Japan. Avril has her long blonde hair, with maybe a few dark lowlights in it. Avril would be wearing something simple, and mature, to highlight her beauty.
The video starts off with a few shots of the skyline. It then cuts away to shows Avril sitting in her hotel room, saddened over something. The viewer is not sure why she is sad. She is then reminiscing on all the good times with clips of her and her lover having a good time and all the memories they shared (Something similar to My Happy Ending). Halfway through the video, Avril is shown saying goodbye to her lover at the airport, as he boards his plane for a trip. Avril then comes home and turns on the TV, and its shown that there has been a major plane crash, realizing her lover is on the plane. During the "I don't wanna let go" part of the song, it's when Avril realizes her lover has passed away. The video then cuts away to a funeral. Then at the very end of the video, it goes back to Avril at the hotel room, present day, as the viewer realizes what she was crying over at the beginning of the video.
