Of course it doesn't "have to" sell 1 million the opening week. But with such ASTONISHING and aggressive marketing plan, promotion and hype, I'll be surprised with it not getting that MILLI.
And please, let's not use the "it's May" excuse cause, aside from the fact Summer is right around the corner and other having done it in the past, Gaga fans themselves like to brag about her enormous selling power - at least for the
initial days, which has been proved by 'Born This Way' selling 470k copies in 3 days - and the fact that, well, they also say 'Born This Way' is the biggest hit of the year.
In other words, she has pretty much everything: the big hit, the big fanbase, the big hype, the big expectation, the big media coverage, the big promotion schedule (probably the biggest one I've ever witnessed), so, IMO, it's gonna be SHOCKING if the album doesn't sell 1 million 1st week. Deal with it.
