All I have to say is that you have the best banner in ATRL.
I really love your list because it's mixed with different kinds of music. besides my favorite artists are on your list too such as: Selena Gomez, Avril Lavigne, AX7, Jack Johnson (which I agree on your comment about him), Hurts, Justin B. and more.

Pedro's Best Of 2010 || Artists Of The Year (40-21)
Hello Guys and Welcome to my Best Of 2010!
The time of the year where everyone gives a glimpse of everything that happened through the year! It was a good year for music overall and I can't wait to share with all of you my charts.
My Best Of is on right now, make sure you catch it up, because I am going to catch up yours!
______________________________________

● TOP 15 BEST ALBUMS
● TOP 15 BEST MOVIES
● TOP 5 BEST TOURS
Let's keep with my Top 50 Best Artists Of 2010! I tried to put all my bias behind and name some of the artists, that I might not be a big fan of, but in fact they had quite a year!
______________________________________
This year we had so many amazing artists, they did all a great job and much more than the ones I am going to mention deserved to have at least a little appearance but oh well! The time isn't enough! I tried to put on my list the artists that were relevant for positive things and hopefully you agree with me!
Close Calls + 50-41
60. Jay-Z
REASON: To be honest I've never been a Jay-Z fan, he only comes to my mind when I think of Beyoncé. He had a nice year though and that's why he is here, in my country "Empire State Of Mind" is one of the most overplayed song of all time.
59. My Chemical Romance
REASON: Those new songs aren't as good as the old ones, they aren't bad, but they had so much better in the past, maybe I just need to get used. They made a decent comeback. Hope their fans still there for them!
58. JoJo
REASON: She kinda made a little comeback this year, but it wasn't enough, that's why she is a close call, because I really like JoJo. "In The Dark" is an awesome song, too bad it was meant to be underrated since this mixtape had nothing as promo, can't wait for a real new album!
57. Jason Derülo
REASON: I never paid much attention to this guy, but he does make some great R&B/Dance music, and I like his style although he just seems like a one hit wonder to me, although I am not a fan, the guy had a big year and everyone seems to like him!
56. Jack Johnson
REASON: Jack made his little comeback this year, but to me, not many people noticed it. He is those kinda artists who people just seem to like and not stan, his music is relaxing and all, and he always delivers good singles and sells good, due to that I believe this place is fine for him!
55. Chris Brown
REASON: I hate to be starting to like Chris Brown again. I seriously disliked everything in his last album, but "Deuces" and "Yeah3X" are great! Although I still don't like him that much he has been growing again!
54. Avril Lavigne
REASON: She was missing this year but even missing, she released a single, "Alice" for my 15th Favorite Movie of 2010 "Alice In Wonderland", the song is a grower but really cool and the video is great, besides that I feel like Avril although kinda irrelavant nowadays should be respected for her status.
53. Carrie Underwood
REASON: In my perspective it's impossible to dislike Carrie she is so sweet, so beautiful and talented! This year I found out "Mama's Song" and while I watched the video I was THIS close to cry my eyes out, although I love her, this year wasn't that big for her, not allowing Carrie to go higher.
52. Duffy
REASON: Well, Well, Well! I can't put Duffy much higher neither due to her status, "Well, Well, Well" is zillion times better than "Mercy", but people don't seem to think the same. With this being said, although I like Duffy, better and better, her sucess is fading away.
51. Kelly Rowland
REASON: Oh Boy. If I had based my judgments in the sucess during the year she wouldn't even appear in the best of, fourtunately my taste has some influence here. "Commander" is such a great masterpiece and it didn't deserve to be so underrated, it is one of the best songs of the year without a doubt. Hope better times are arriving for Kelly.
______________________________________
Those were the Close Calls, they almost made it, but maybe due to my preferences or due to their success, the following artists deserve the places better! Let's start the Top 50!
______________________________________
REASON: Avenged Sevenfold were a let down this year, I've been a fan since 2005 (Bat Country) and got a real fan during 2007/2008 with their "Avenged Sevenfold", unfourtunately, maybe due to their drummer death, the quality of the music isn't that good. Nevertheless the band managed to debut at #1 in Billboard 200.
REASON: This guy is probably one of my favorite rappers of all time, his music is different from the rest of the rappers, I really like T.I. so he HAD to make the top 50, although he was kinda irrelevant this year. I loved "Get Your Back" and "Got Back Up". I hope Christina makes a part in the video for "Castle Walls"!
REASON: Lemme clarify, I still do not like Selena Gomez, or her band, but fact is that she has been very relevant this year, her album is doing fine and Disney keeps on promoting her image, I hope she doesn't go like Demi Lovato though. "A Year Without Rain" is such a great song though, I am glad she made something that I really liked, unfourtunately I fail to like the other songs!
REASON: Keri does not want to flop this time. She has proofed it with "The Way You Love Me" but well girl, I don't think that will save you. That song and "Pretty Rock Girl" are great, and she is something like Kelly Rowland, I really like her but the lack of sucess doesn't allow me putting her much higher, she had a decent year, I believe she should dedicate her time for writting/producing/back vocals.
REASON: I didn't know Natasha was back! Anyway! "Strip Me" is just AWESOME, I can't believe in how great that song is and "Touch" is also great, I feel like Natasha is more creative this era, she used to be so the same, but I feel a change this time, unfourtunately, the same thing happens, her irrelevancy makes her chart low, but don't worry because this is the only chart I am counting the outside opinions.
REASON: Would you believe me if I told you I didn't know Flo Rida sung this? I AM SERIOUS! I already had heard "Club Can't Handle Me" billion times on radio but I never thought this was Flo Rida, until I found out like three weeks ago! The song was a hit and I always thought he was a one hit wonder! If he keeps doing songs like this I do not mind having him around, Im just not a big fan of Flo Rida, so I didn't put him much higher.
REASON: Hurts are the new thing! I find them very very original and creative! Their songs are not pure Pop, they have something else on it and that makes them original. I like all of their singles but unfourtunately they weren't that big this year to go any higher, if they had hits like Ke$ha did you could expect them to be into the top 20!
REASON: I think everyone knows Nelly Furtado disappointed me when she decided to record a spanish album, thankfully that era is dead and gone, and I seriously hope she never goes back to spanish music, I love her and I don't want to dislike her. She is a sweet girl and her new songs from "The Best Of Nelly Furtado" are great! "Night Is Young" is kinda generic but catchy and dancy and has the capacity of becoming a party night anthem! I wish I could put Nelly higher but as y'all noticed, her "Best Of" isn't making any sucess.
REASON: I do not like Justin Bieber at all. He has one cool song and one acceptable song but that's it. Nevertheless, Justin had quite a year, he was everywhere, even with half of the world hating on him the kid didn't stop making what he likes to do, music! That's something really cool and he surely defines 2010 along with some other artists, he was one of this year revelation, congrats Justin!
REASON: Mika is my favorite male singer but unfourtunately he was touring this year and only released a new single that was for "Kick Ass" (the movie), the song is super catchy, but I couldn't allow myself putting him higher here, that would be unfair to everyone else and would be me abusing of my taste. I can't wait for his new album, he is so original and unique!
REASON: McFly had better years like the last one but, I only started paying a little attention to them this year since I've been to their concert (they performed at Rock In Rio Lisbon same day as Miley Cyrus). The vocalist is super hot and cute and they know how to rock the house, fourtunately they also became more Pop, and that helps a lot. I believe this is a fair position for them, I am not a fan but they have been doing good!
REASON: I need to confess, I am not a huge fan of Muse, I really like them and I believe they are an original band, they are inside the Top 40 due to their impressive success with the last album, they are really becoming huge! I haven't payed much attention to them since "Uprising" but they have had big numbers not only when it comes to selling records but also selling tickets!
REASON: Alexandra is such an amazing artist, she has an incredible voice, great songs and knows how to move! Triple threat! Her songs are so catchy and so Pop and Fierce, she is fierce as a icon as well. I find her very beautiful as well, unfourtunately I do not think she has been that big during this year so I can't place her higher.
REASON: I still dislike this man a little since he is part of one of the worst songs I've ever heard, "Billionaire". I am glad he recovered and launched some good songs like "Just The Way You Are" and "Grenade". I seriously can't stand "Billionaire", and his part is the most annoying. I kinda dislike him but let's state facts, he had a great year he was such a revelation and everyone seems to like him.
REASON: One other big new artist. Drake has been showing who is the bsos for a while, I haven't paied much attention to him, but his songs are catchy, funny and cool! He deserves to be Top 40 due to his big success during the year. The man's face is hideous though . His voice can get a little annoying too, but that's okay, because as I said the songs are catchy!
REASON: Is it just me or Linkin Park since "Minutes To Midnight" have been getting worse and worse? I mean I love some songs like "Leave Out All The Rest", "Shadow Of The Day", "Bleed It Out", "Waiting For The End", etc. BUT they are not what they used to be, they are so different right now, I don't know what happened. They are a iconic band already so it was obvious I needed to include them here .
REASON: If it wasn't for my big love for "Impossible", Shontelle wouldn't even be a Close Call. She flopped so bad and "Perfect Nightmare" is nothing amazing. I am glad she released "Impossible" to make me pay attention to her, the song is really emotive and beautiful. I hope she has something that can save her career, because things aren't easy nowadays, principally if Britney Spears, Beyoncé and Lady GaGa are launching new albums next year.
REASON: The new country guys! They have had an amazing year due to "Need You Now" success and that's why they are so high. I actually prefer "Hello World" to any other single from them, but I doubt they are gonna be big for much longer... maybe they'll because they don't sing Pop.
REASON: An iconic band! It is more than necessary to include them in a Best Of Artists, they are probably one of the few old bands that I appreciatte and do not mind listening! "What Do you Got?" is kind of generic, but it's okay. I am not a huge fan but I gotta show respect for them!
REASON: Another new artist. Florence + The Machine were probably the biggest revelation of the year, they are enormous and "Dog Days Are Over" is all over the place, I believe the success is deserved although I am not a huge fan since Florence has an original and creative look and she has a different kind of music, originality is what makes the difference nowadays!
REASON: From now on, I admit my preference had a big influence. Otherwise Jessica Simpson wouldn't be standing here at all, I am just a big fan of hers. She hadn't any success this year, she flopped pretty bad with her Christmas album eventhough the album is perfection. She needs to give us something unique to make people gain interest on her, I'll be here waiting Jessica.
REASON: Leona Lewis is kind of a Jessica Simpson Pt. II, if it wasn't my preferences she wouldn't be standing here. But she actually released two singles and a DVD of her successful tour. I am glad she isn't a flop with all the letters, she deserves a lot of success, not only because of her voice but also because of her person, she is such a kind human being. I love this woman a lot, hope better years are yet to come!
REASON: Yea Jessica Simpson Pt. III, Ciara is becoming a bigger flop everyday and it's hard to watch because she is an amazing entertainer, her dance moves slay me HARD. And "Gimme Dat" is one of the best songs released this year, besides being catchy it is so dancy and fast! Although she flopped and will continue, her singles made me love her more, and that's why she is so high .
REASON: Promising act, indeed. Willow could be higher if she had release anything else, but she only released "Whip My Hair", that I must say I hated in the beginning. Anyway, I can't wait for her new single, I hope she surprises me because this girl is so talented, yet so young. Hope she doesn't have a breakdown like those other young girls.
REASON: Although I lost most of my interest on Usher, he had quiet a year. I can't believe "OMG" was so big, because I just don't see HIT written on it. Anyway I am happy for him becaus I thought his career had died since "Confessions". Anyway, due to his success he managed to get so high here.
REASON: Did y'all think I was gonna leave Miss Britney Spears out of my Best Of? Of course not, that would be criminal, although Britney did absolutely nothing this year, "3" kept on doing its work and I jammed to her songs every single day, so it was obvious Queen Spears was gonna make my Best Of Artists, and believe me when I say I left all my bias behind, otherwise, Britney would be MUUUUCH higher!
REASON: Oh boy, if y'all knew how much love I have for this woman... I find her so beautiful and so freakin' talented. "Poison" blew me away, not only the song is freaking fierce and powerful, but the choreography of the video/live performances were so ****ing epic! Although she only had this single, she really deserves this place. (Thanks to my taste's influence)
REASON: I am not a big fan of David's work, BUT, this year he did some great things like "Gettin' Over You" and "Who's That Chick", that pratically made him get Top 30 almost Top 20. "Who's That Chick" is for me one of his best productions, awesome job. Unfourtunately due to my taste he can't go higher, because I find him extremely overrated, and to be honest many of his songs sound so alike .
REASON: I believe it's impossible for Beyoncé to make a pause for a whole year, she needs to do at least a video, a song or a concert each year, she just can't stop, that can be positive or negative. Positive for her fans that love new music or just to know she is active, negative to the normal people/people who dislike her that will eventually get sick of her. Anyway, I am looking forward her next album and "Why Don't You Love Me" is great!
REASON: He actually had a better last year but this year he kept on going and "Whataya Want From Me" had a lot of impact, definetely one of the most played tracks on the radio in my country. "If I Had you" didn't have the success it deserved, but it did alright, the video is really cool! I wonder what Adam is gonna do next!
Thank You so much for all of your comments and keep on doing it, I'll be commenting on yours too!
