i understand why you might think that, but in my opinion, it's just so different. it's really had to compare it to Dreaming Out Loud or even Native, because they're just so different--ya know?

i don't know, if you really pay attention to the production, there is so much care and detail and components to each song. every listen-through, you hear some different percussion or guitar or vocal that has been hidden. it's so good. i LOVE the album. even my least favorite (All These Things) has grown on me a lot

i still think my ranking is Native > Dreaming Out Loud > Oh My My > Waking Up

I think it's a good album, but nothing spectacular. I definitely expected more, especially after brilliant 'Native'.
My faves are NbHD, Born, Future Looks Good and Lift Me Up.

Hard to compare to the other albums tho since they're all perfect and have sentimental meaning to me

Dream and Choke are my faves at the moment but it's all strong material imo #nofillerallowed

Does anyone else think Heaven is a direct rip off/plagiarism of Heaven by DJ Sammy??? Or did they have permission to sample? It's pretty blatant if they plagiarized.

WAIT All These Things is actually really great. i mean, lyrically it's fine, nothing amazing, and the vocals are good (as expected) but the production is SO GOOD!!!! i only just listened to it with proper earbuds for the first time and it is anthemic. one of the more Native tracks on the album, or maybe Waking Up-inspired.

Just had some time with the album and I think is more enjoyable and cohesive than Native, although Native's highs were miles better.

My favorites are are: Oh My My (digging that french-dance-inspired tune), Choke, Dream, Kids, Future Looks Good and NBhD.

I agree with what you're saying. I still think Native is my favorite, but OMM reaaaaallllly delivered. I think the album really appeases every type of OR fan: the acoustic alternative singer songwriter pop rock DOL, the more experimental or unique-sounding WU, the folk soulful pop rock Native, and some slight electronic (but it's never too much or overwhelming.

Imo they delivered a perfect blend of signature OR songs that have just been evolved or updated to adapt to their current style. It's really fantastic
