I'm afraid it is going to keep going until either the song starts losing radio audience, or it actually hits #1, but then the latter would just spawn "I HOPE IT STAYS AT #1 NEXT WEEK" wishes.
Lol while I do want it to hit #1 just b/c it would give her yet another #1 to her list, it is kinda bad that for the last month ppl have been saying THIS IS THE WEEK...and nothing has happened other than a new peak at 2 this week.

Y'all are forgetting that the week the AMAs have impact on the songs, Ke$ha is releasing Cannibal, so not only does she get the AMA performance, she also gets the album exposure/promo.
