No **** GGGB was surpassed by The Fame/Monster. By equivalent I meant the fact that they were very successful, not equivalent in sales
I wasn't shading her

GGGB success isn't equivalent to the success of TF/M though.

From the female front, I would say NONE.
Male wise, Apologize, Hey, Soul Sister.
Bad Romance ain't all that, the lyrics are corny as hell, the melody is hardly memorable and there is not one beat you get stuck in your head. I'd say the video has an edge over the song in the "remembered in 20 years" field.

BTW will not be make or break for her, it may not be as successful as TFM, but she's not going to flop. She's made too much of an impact to simply vanish overnight.

no shade to gaga but i'd really like to see how she does with relying simply on talent...i here what you said alot in reference to gaga and it would be nice to see if she's really a lasting star or the spearhead of this horrible "i wanna be different and unique and make electropop" movement

As in, it was Rihanna's biggest success, just as The Fame/Monster could possibly be GaGa's biggest success as well.
I don't see GaGa going anywhere but down from here. She set the bar so high with her debut.

Don't sales and success go hand in hand? Unless, you mean "impact?" TF/TFM shat on GGGB in that area, too.

Yes, the delusion is impressive. Lady Gaga is today, very famous, but her songs are not up to par, you can't compare her recycled beats, melodies and lyrics to the organic sound of those Madonna songs.

In 1999 everyone wearing their T-shirts, buying all of their cassettes/posters/albums, etc. is the equivalent to today buying all their digital singles, seeing their concert tours everytime they come to your city and blogging about them everyday on sites like these.

In my opinion Britney's impact was seen as a huge teen phenomenon...while Gaga is impacting all ages...coz her music is transversal...that's why i see her impacting more people!....Teens are more noisy, they want get noticed, and wanted everything about Britney at that time...But i think Gaga is having a huge impact in all kind of people. And i don't stan for them...in fact i like more song from Britney than Gaga.

Madonna lasted, and her talented is pretty limited. She has been able to survive with controversial antics. Am I lying?

Her impact nowadays is impressive, pop culture hasn't have a relevant phenomenon like Gaga since 1999/2000 with teen pop. So yeah, she's the biggest star right now

GaGa has produced memorable hits. Bad Romance and Poker Face are going to be remembered. I don't care if GaGa is known for her performance art, costume is part of who she is, I don't look at that as something negative. Image is always going to be one of the most prominent components in factoring how successful an artist is in the music industry, they all wear costumes, they all have to put on a show. The only difference is that Lady GaGa stands out, normally that would be a liability, but she makes it work. Lady GaGa has substance, hence why she's lasted longer than anyone thought she would. She will continue to prove her doubters wrong.

Dont yell at me, but Alicia Keys EXPLODED extremely fast.
She may not have had as big a tour, or was such a big fashion icon, but she had a HUGE number one, Grammys, a successful tour, and a 6x platinum album.
