Was she just releasing singles to see what sound stuck? She went from the indie soul pop with 45S, anthemic dubstep r&b with American Oxygen, and ratchet trap with BBHMM. With the results of all three, none having the power of her previous starter singles, it's easy to understand why it's taking so long. It's concerning. She'll be on a fourth single by the time the album drops. Unless she completely ignores them and starts from the beginning. Which will look worse imo.
This is sad, tbh. And if we think about it she had the WHOLE YEAR for herself, like, no other pop girl besides Taylor was even active. Now it's most likely coming next year when they'll all be preparing their next eras and she'll risk being overshadowed.
