Anyways I side eye anyone who really thinks it's appropriate to shame people. I remember being fat as a kid and I can remember how insecure/in pain I was. Not being able to fit in jeans, seeing my huge pot belly every time I changed, not wanting to go swimming cause I didn't wanna be made fun of for my body etc.......
Years later now that I have lost weight and workout/am toned I can still feel as if it was yesterday, and that whole negativity even years later still trickle into my self esteem. Now imagine if someone shamed me and constantly picked at me for it. Everyone who is considered obese can see that they are they have to live that everyday and always be reminded by society that they are undesirable.
So what makes it think it's a good idea for you to shame someone like that?? How does that make your day better?? Just because society states that obese people are undesirable that gives your ass leg room to treat them like nothing??To act is if they are not deserving of something such as common respect??
A lot of these ppl who go on and on about obese people are doing it not out of caring . Usually many are the first to point out someone else's unhealthy lifestyle but god forbid it's pointed back at them they wanna have individual choices and no judgement.
After my long rant i'm saying losing weight/being healthy is not some easy. I understand you want to care for people but apart of that is allowing them to make their decisions. Along with being able to relay the message in a respectful way and fat shaming sadly will never be the way to do it.
