Hope she never makes it.
Hope Iggy wins that grammy too so Banks can finish being angry.

Are you talking about yourself here?
Cause the GP doesn't know Azealia.

This though! White privilege I totally understand, and I agree more white people need to realise that society is geared towards helping and benefiting them over POC's. But "white guilt" sounds ridiculous. I do not - nor should I - feel guilty for something I took no involvement in or had no control over, it happened before I even existed! Should modern Germans feel guilty about the Holocaust? Or American's for nuking Japan?

Racism is white execs sending emails saying Denzel Washington is a great actor but doesn't deserve lead roles because he's black.
Racism is telling little black girls their natural hair is nappy and kicking them out of school or not hiring them. That;s racism.
Racist =/= Prejudice

I think this is where people go wrong. Prejudice is discrimination and discrimination against any race is racism. Generalizing and stereotyping shouldn't be entertained. I get she feels discriminated and a culture that has been embedded in her identity as a black person has been belittled by some and used for commercial gain but her generalizing that all white people do it are like that is wrong. And it's wrong to entertain such comments as right.

Personally I have yet to meet a single white person who is unable to refrain from making racist comments or doing racist things
Even the supposedly ultra progressive tumble SJW type guy I dated eventually said he wanted me to "salsa on his dick"

I posted this in the other thread and I'll post it again because clearly most of you are completely missing the point.
Imagine you were great at your craft - where you’re virtually understood to be really ****ing good at what you do. You’re considered forward-thinking and skilled as a creative. Your skill is unmatched. Now imagine others, whose music is not as good and their craft not as technically good as yours, being awarded while you’re ignored. It would be frustrating.
Now imagine how frustrating it is when the reality is that the mediocre product is being praised because a white woman has made it, while you have to work 20x as hard just to have 10% of the recognition the white woman has to get because you’re a black woman.
Now imagine this happening in a genre that is supposed to be your people’s safe haven. Black little boys and girls don’t get to dream about being big pop stars or country stars or rock stars. They get only one little slice of the ****ing pie they had to work to carve out and create and are told “this is yours - we will demonize it and use it to portray your people as uneducated and dangerous thugs who deserve to be shot, but its yours”. Then its taken from you. “Hip hop is now white”. The one thing you had, the thing society uses to justify the killing of your people and to literally demonize your culture is now chic and something cool for white people to do (with mediocre results) and they’re awarded for it.
It’s a reminder for black people that this world isn’t yours and it was never meant to be - that you are the other, you are the outsider and nothing is yours and will be taken for the gain of white people no matter how good you are; anything done by a white person will be praised more, considered better and received better because many societies on this Earth are still rooted in the teachings of white supremacy.
This isn’t about Iggy, but her being a documented racist doesn’t help her case and she, due to her own fault, is now the face of white privilege, of white mediocrity. Little white girls can grow up and dream about being anything they want, to some restrictions, but little black girls? Nobody in this world cares about little black girls and we teach little black girls not to even care about themselves.
When Azealia Banks is on the radio, cursing Igloo out and angry and pissed off and maybe saying things she shouldn’t, she’s coming from a place of anger and hurt and putting her foot down as a black woman and saying - “f**k you. You’ve taken everything else from me. You’ve taken everything you can from my people and forced us to make this through our own pain and struggle that you caused. You can’t have it. You have everything else due to simply being white, you will not take the one thing black people have worked hard to keep and make for themselves against centuries of modern ****ing institutional oppression and racism. f**k you.”

of course its not institutionalized racism like profiling but its still racism

I know how to search for a word in the dictionary, I asked what racism white people receive because I really want a white person to tell me. Giving me the definition is a cop out and tells me you have no answer

Ah, so it's ok for me to be considered to be guilty of the slavery and racism when I have nothing to do with any kind of racism because black people IN AMERICA face institutionalized racism? Two wrongs don't make a right and racism against white people won't bring you equality. It will bring nothing but even a bigger hatred. Not peace.

And the reality is that hate crimes against whites are not even a regular occurance in America. And the other instances you listed are petty, because the prejudices and stereotypes held against white people causes on to be chosen last for basketball practice. Where as the savage stereotypes against blacks means that at age 12 they can be shot dead by the cops, it means mistreatment in the work place, it means bias in the justice system. It's not even comparable. Get it together.

Okay, I didn't say anything negative about Azealia, I just made an observation that I thought was funny. You being angry and lashing out at the people on this site makes you no better than Azealia, or the racists who oppress her, you're all just hating messes who can't control their anger.
