"Fly"'s hook is not that standout worthy, IMO. It won't do outstanding.
So the "weak" hook is enough to make you forget about the meaning of the song as a whole? This song is stand out worthy IMO regardless of the hook. It probably wont do outstanding but its definitely more worthy than Super Bass only because this song actually has substance behind it.

Well there's no discussion here if we agree. The substance of the song doesn't come in play, I think. The concept is not new, nor superior to those before. And it's Nicki & Rihanna, not Mother Theresa. The hook is weak and I just don't think Pop radio will catch fire to it.
As for "Super Bass", I am neutral about it, so the comparisons don't matter much to me when it comes to worthiness. Though it'll play as platform for Top 40 stations to transition to "Fly", plus of course Rihanna being on it.
