I am starting to sound like a broken record here (fitting considering the records the plethora of records the artist I am about to mention has broken) but Style rules for another week, narrowly beating out Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney's FourFiveSeconds. This is Style's 4th week at the top; however, the song only has 30 points, it's lowest total in some weeks. However, that can likely be attributed to less charts included in this update than normal (33); so, we need updates!
Anyway, Years & Years and Taylor Swift continue to dominate the songs chart. Years & Years notches 3 entries (Desire, King, and Shelter) while Taylor sees 3 as well (Bad Blood, All You Had To Do Was Stay, and her number 1: Style). A quick note about Style, this is it's one month anniversary since topping the chart; but Style is the first song to top the chart without actually topping anybody's personal chart, it ranked up plenty of #2 spots, but did not rank at the top on any currently updated chart.
We also have a new top 5. Years & Years see King enter at number 5 while last week's top 5 Living For Love drops to 8. As mentioned last week, we are seeing transitioning here. Ciara rises into the upper reaches of the chart thanks to Green and Yours Truly; Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, and most importantly Florence + The Machine all rise throughout the top 15.
Debuts also include Luke Bryan, appropriate since he just released his final Spring Break EP (Checking Out... Check it out on iTunes today!) so hopefully he sticks around and rises soon. We also see Natalie La Rose's Jeremih featuring, DJ Mustard produced, Whitney Houston sampling Somebody debut and that wraps it up for notable debuts (interestingly: Taylor Swift now has charted a majority of her songs from 1989. Blank Space, Shake It Off, Out Of The Woods, current chart topper Style, Bad Blood, All You Had To Do Was Stay, New Romantics) have all charted.
