September (a swedish dance singer) had 2 successful singles (i think one of them went top 3) but they wouldn't play her third single which led into her album release because they said there were too many female artists, so her single and album flopped. I think they just take a dislike towards certain artists.

How does the official single version compare to the remix we heard?
"Well when you hear the single mix, it all ties in. It all makes sense. But it's different, it's really different to the remix. Everyone has given me such a beautiful reaction to the remix, but I'm like, 'What are they going to think of the actual single?'. It's still nerve-wrecking, but exciting."
What can you tell us about the video?
"The video is actually going to be filmed next week! It's gearing up to be a special event. And the video itself is going to be very, very special. And I want to bring some fans down as well. I want to have them on set, see how the video works and to be behind the scenes."
Have you finished recording the album?
"I'm not completely finished yet; there are still final touches to the album to be done, like collaborations and stuff. So not 100% - but about 99%!"
So we're probably going to get it after the next single?
"I think it will be two or three before the album drops. But we will see what happens. I can plan ahead, but I know that every day something will change. But definitely two singles before the album."

Radio 1 aren't as important as they think they are, their audience is declining. Radio 2 and Capital FM are the biggest stations in the country and they both support Alex so
They didn't like her because she was affiliated with X Factor. It's weird though because they put Bad Boys on their A-List playlist, and Broken Heels went on their B-List (I think?). Then All Night Long came out and they basically blanked it, despite being one of the most radio friendly songs of 2010. Finally Start Without You came out and they completely shunned it, like it wasn't played at all on the station. Then when SWY went to #1 one of the DJ's from Radio 1 went on Twitter and was like 'do people actually like that rubbish?', or something along those lines. They supported her at first but that support dwindled out of nowhere.

It wasn't her affiliation with X-Factor. It was "Broken Heels" itself. It could not be more "uncool" if it tried, and for a radio station that tries in vain to be the coolest, edgiest, hippest thing around - there was resentment that they had to playlist it because of the success of the previous single. After it didn't go Top 5, they instituted an Alexandra ban.
