TBH Una is my least favorite album from Rihanna since AGLM. TTT would of been more on par with Bey as far as my personal taste is concerned.

Lol, it's so funny to read these threads sometimes ![eat popcorn](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/3e5dbfe7-1.gif)
Ones are bragging about acclaim and sales and putting down the success of an opponent, the others are claiming something in the air (cuz their opponents aren't into listening), "subtle" shade thrown here and there, nnnn
*Double standards alert as usual, I mean, I remember laughing my ass out, when one Beyhive was telling that "one radio interview + couple of commercial deals having nothing to do with an album=big promo". I was so about to remind him(her) that he(she) 's been tearing his jaws earlier saying "Beyonce" had no promo - because, judging from this logic (excluding selectiveness), it had more than just simple little promo! This also counts for "Black Friday" release, etc. It's debatable that November releases actually help Rihanna's 1st week sales in USA - she has strong competition of country/holiday releases this time of a year, which are more bought 1st week in USA (still, the question is... are they remembered or just bought because everyone is used to buy such albums to collect dust on shelves in a couple of months?) Still, you use "Black Friday" as your most solid argument, totally forgetting about the fact that self-titled was released even closer to holiday season than Unapologetic... If "Black Friday", "acclaim", "possible Grammys", "more remembered" (in 4 months, and still, many people already forgot) and everything else are reasons, then Beyonce's release strategy is much, much more of an argument. Like... one certain song jumped on US iTunes' top 20 out of nowhere after one banner, advertising pre-order of an album. One banner. Imagine what would happen if an artist booked ALL the iTunes banners for DAYS and offered a piece of work as something special and said it was "never done before"?
At the end of the day, it doesn't make so much sense. Do you like something because YOU like it, or you're TOLD to like it by authoritative... sales, critics?

Every facet of BEYONCE is incredibly more impressive. unapo.. is just another rushed-in-time-for-holidays release by rihanna.

Unap has never been iconic. cute reach ![thing](images/smilies/images/smilies/thing.gif)

Why are you so deluded with someone's opinion that "GP thinks Unapologetic is more iconic"? Is it such a heresy offending your honour? If you feel your fave is somehow "reached", which insults your feelings, you had plenty of much more offensive statements out there to choose and throw your responses on.
Besides, so many talks about "Beyonce" were coming to identical "oh, surpsire release" braggings and "pieceofarrrrrrt" conclusions. That's the reason why so many of the GP were hyped. I don't think they thought clearly, "felt" this album, instead of bandwagoning popular media opinion, and I'll explain why... Also, the reason why many of the GP think Unapologetic is somehow "bad" is persuasion that "the release was a year after the previous one=rushed". And, of course, her personal life (although GP doesn't read it like so, it doesn't see any personal issues instead of "Chris Brown!!!11"). When a songstress doesn't bring up her personal experience to music, she's "no diva", when her personal life can be somehow attributed to her music, she's "exploiting it basely". I've seen users on Metacritic giving Unapologetic "0" and commenting like "I haven't listened to it, but I can't give her more than a zero because of CHRIS BROWN! HOW DARE SHE? THAT'S SUCH AN APOLOGY FOR ABUSE, THAT'S SUCH A BAD EXAMPLE FOR ALL ABUSED GIRLS! IF YOU RESPECT RIGHTS OF ABUSED WOMEN, DON'T LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM, DON'T SPEND A DIME ON THIS ALBUM!!!!11111" ...Question - is **** like this eligible for ya'll, like... " public opinion, check Metacritic comments"?
(But what am I talking about. The answer for latter one is YES, for Beyonce stans and all Rihanna's haters). You can bring up far-fetched "uncohesiveness" of Unapologetic, but the only genuine reason to put the album down for you is your attitude towards Rihanna. *captain obvious, lol* Still, I'd rather listen to an album with different songs, different sounds and experiments (yet sounding great as a whole piece) than an album with songs duplicating one another, if that's necessary for you to call an album "cohesive". (I'm not talking about "Beyonce" right now, btw)

dont worry Beyoncé has that kind of comments; just go there and check. it happens to everyone and sorry but Beyoncé has more haterz than anyone else in the industry (minus Britney & Gaga maybe). so your unfair low marks argument isnt effecient. I wasnt talking about Metacritics only but itunes, and others website..... Proffesional reviewers (most of them 3/4) are reliable. don't tell me 61/100 was an accident. I use to read the top & the lowest marks reviews; Unap yellow bar is the biggest (2x the Green one).
BEYONCE & UNAP got 20 red hot user's reviews. so they are equal there when it comes to delusionals & unfair reviews.
You can like your fave album. Ok. No problem. but lets not discredit each other. I never say such things as "Unap is rubbish". I just expressed my preference for BEYONCE & brought some simple receipts to show some haterz here that there's no such things as "boring" "rubbish" tracks on Beyoncé.
