I bet they throw him in the deep end and make him perform on MTV awards. If they do put him on an awards show I think he should perform on TCA and KCA.
I know it's tumbled down iTunes Charts but I think it's you could be a hit, the roll out with the video was just poor!

I agree, but RCA is known for ****ing over artists and not doing anything to help/promote them. Zayn has done one TV performance, no TV interviews, etc. If he doesn't start, his album will tank. It's going to debut strong no matter what, but it's going to fall hard if he doesn't wake up.

True enough. Kelly fought hard for her opportunities and she's enjoying the fruits of that labor (see My December for deets). She has a great relationship with her label nowadays and it shows.
Zayn needs to step up more than anything else. RCA isn't going to bother with him if he doesn't get over his aversion to promo/interviews.
It's his management that is supposed to organise and Ok promo. I know there was the palavar about him missing appointments but he has turned up to each one since. It's really bizarre because Sarah got Iggy and Rita lots of exposure.
I would say it was a complete misstep to perform "it's you", a song nobody knew and was not ready to embrace, instead of PT. If he wanted to surprise his fans he should have just "leaked?" It's you or announced it as part of the preorder package.

Slow right now? Sweetie his lead single was released 5 weeks ago. It hasn't been performed one time anywhere. Not even a private performance. Not so much as a TV interview has been given and his US TV debut was wasted by performing a song that nobody really likes. Zayn is not Rihanna. He can't rely on his name to hopefully sell a single and album. There is next to no hype for this and it's out in 3 weeks.

From being a 1D stan, I know he isn't. He's constantly relied on the other boys to answer questions and just keep a low key profile in interviews.
The problem is that longevity matters. He just doesn't have the fanbase to sell consistently the same numbers wtihout promo.
