Honestly this is still speculation. E! didn't even really list a source, and all they have said is that both Demi and Britney just "need to sign the contract". And that's already been said about Britney for weeks now.

So take it with a grain of salt. I'm not believing anything until the final statement from Simon or Fox is released.

yeah true but i think miley wouldve been more anticpated since this is her first project post disney but yeah i love demi but i dont think she qualified and plus her sucess has just begun, i really want her to focus on music miley on other hand needs to do the x factor love the girl but her career is just about over.

I'd be kind of disappointed because its not as if she's really proved herself on the same level as Britney or some of the acts that LA has discovered/nutured.

And if she gets the "overs" category then she'd be mentoring acts who have potentially been singing longer than she's been able to go toilet for herself.

If they go with Demi that will be a mistake. Granted, she's a decent singer but it wouldn't say she has actually made it in the music industry. She hasn't even made a dent in the music industry. How is she suppose to judge others and help them out when she's been struggling herself?

However, this would benefit Demi a lot because she does have a single that is doing well at the moment and will make her a success in the music scene.

Demi is 19 years old. Going to be 20 when the show starts. How can she mentor anyone? And she'll probably get put with the over-30s category, so that's going to be really strange seeing a teenager give advice to someone potentially twice her age.

She has made it in the industry... and she's not struggling at all. Just because you're not one of the best selling artists around the world doesn't mean you're struggling. Demi's had 20 hits and a #1 album and her other two albums were #2 and #4 on billboard. I know she's not the best seller but honestly she's not that bad either and her sales are better than Nicole's in the US. I honestly think people should give her a chance before writing her off
