I do agree with this. I didn't ever expect a Top 10 to be honest...the performance of the album and single have been great in my eyes...perhaps my lowered sales expectations are what's keeping me stanning?

That's my whole argument: If this horrendous song reached top 10, a good song would have easily reached #1

Madonna has been in the biz for 30 years but with the digital era, things have changed. It's possible for older artists or flop artists to make comebacks. That's how someone as comparatively (to Madonna) basic as J.Lo who is 40+ and has been in the biz for 15 years was able to score a massive #1 WW hit with 1/10 Madonna's promo.

Same with Kelly Clarkson - she's been at it for 10+ year and was deemed "over" but made a big comeback with her (boring, bland, generic) new #1 smash.
