6. Brown Eyed Girls - BASIC
released November 5, 2015


With a lengthy hiatus and the financial crisis their formal label had, some feared their 5th full album "BLACK BOX" might be their last release together. Luckily, they were able to find a new label and lived to disband another day. BASIC as the title claims, is a "back to the basics" type of album the lack of context makes it look like they called themselves basic. They touch upon all their previous sounds, with a physics/mathematical theme to all the tracks. The album is very cohesive both sonically and lyrically and I'm glad they're finally back

12. Ga In - Apple (feat. Jay Park) from Hawwah It’s just a bite, who cares? Nothing will happen, right? Who cares if we get in trouble? You want it too The song that shaped the backbone of the "Hawwah" era. Both Jay and Ga In play their respective roles well in this song.

11. Florence + the Machine - Ship To Wreck from How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful Did I drink too much? Am I losing touch? Did I build this ship to wreck? I don't really have anything to say but I love this song so that's that

Troye Sivan - Swimming Pools from Blue Neighbourhood But I see a lighthouse in the distance calling my name But I can't get there 'til I go through all of this pain Not sure why this ended up as the Target exclusive track since it's better than majority of the tracks on the standard (not saying they're bad). I love this atmospheric pop music

Apple is great, like the entire release tbh! I liked Swimming Pools as well. Meanwhile, BASIC was okay... I liked a few of the tracks (mostly the singles)
