Next up on Lee’s Best of 2012 are the Top 150 Songs of 2012, 20-11. Once again placement on this list is determined by my last.fm plays mixed with my general enthusiasm for the song and how much I really liked it.
Top 150 Songs: 20-11
20) Martin Solveig – “The Night Out (Madeon Remix)”
The song on its own aint bad but Madeon’s touch on it made it amazing.
19) Nicki Minaj – “Starships”
Couldn’t help but love this catchy track.
18) Gotye – “Somebody That I Used To Know (feat. Kimbra)”
Who didn’t love to sing along to it?!
17) Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso – “Calling (Lose My Mind) (feat. Ryan Tedder)”
Great collaboration all around and catchy song
16) Carrie Underwood – “Good Girl”
Carrie came back strong this era
15) Porter Robinson – “Language”
Awesome awesome song and really cool music video to go along with it! I love Porter’s sound
14) Eli Young Band – “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”
Awesome lyrics and melody. This song just gets me singing everytime.
13) Ellie Goulding – “Hanging On (feat. Tinie Tempah)”
I am one of the minority that love this song with Tinie’s rap. Many prefer it without but I love this one.
12) fun. – “Some Nights”
Such an epic song I loved it upon first listen. Cool video to go along with too
11) Example – “Say Nothing”
Also in the minority on this one, I loved this first single, played it over and over and still enjoy it.

Top 150 Songs of 2012, 20-11 are done. w00t! We’ve reached the end of the road! Up next are the final Top 150 Songs, 10-1.
Also just as a heads up, I'm going to be away this week so I won't be updating. I will resume when I get back from my trip and before Best of 2012 closes.
We’ve reached the end! Next up on Lee’s Best of 2012 are the Top 150 Songs of 2012, 10-1.
Top 150 Songs: 10-1
10) Zedd – Clarity (feat. Foxes)”
Big song and I have no doubts that this song will take off this year. The Letterman performance is just the beginning.
9) Calvin Harris – “Sweet Nothing (feat. Florence Welch)”
Calvins production on this track is simply amazing. Add in the amazingly raw and honest vocals from Florence and it’s perfect. Video is good too.
8) Thomas Rhett – “Something To Do With My Hands”
One of the best finds of the year for me. A song with a double entendre will always get my attention!
7) Foster The People – “Houdini”
Catchy and fun this track deserved the success that Pumped Up Kicks got because its actually a good song!
6) Kaskade – “Lessons in Love (feat. Neon Trees)”
Not here for the Neon Trees version of the song. This version is the superior one and should get the attention
5) Madeon – “The City”
Madeon didn’t play when it came to this song. Awesome melody and it just works.
4) Lawson – “Learn To Love Again”
Something about this song really resonated with me. Andy did a great job with this one. Hope it does well when its released this year.
3) Luke Bryan – “Drunk On You”
Luke smashed it with this summer slow jam. One of the highlights of seeing him perform live this year was him singing this track. ~If you ain’t a 10 you’re a 9.9~
2) Zedd – Spectrum (feat. Matthew Koma)”
Such a great track. Zedd came hard with this track too and matthew Koma’s vocals melded perfectly. This song JUST missed being the number 1 track. I went back and forth with the top 2 songs but in the end….
ANE THE NUMBER 1 SONG OF 2012 IS……
1) Calvin Harris – “We’ll Be Coming Back (feat. Example)”
Calvin and Example when they work together is unstoppable. This song never gets old and you can’t help but sing along and bounce to the beats. Well done guys.

And with that, the Top 150 Songs of 2012 are all done!! Up next will be albums I think… I forget haha
And again, I’ll be away starting tomorrow so I’ll start posting the rest of my best of when I return next week!
Hey guys I’m back after a fun week in the woods of Vermont. Now to continue with my Best of 2012, here are my Top 5 EPs of 2012.
Top 5 EPs of 2012
5) Boys Like Girls – “Crazy World”
When I originally compiled this list, the full album hadn’t been released yet so the 3 track EP made this list instead.
4) Russ Chimes – “Midnight Club”
I already talked about all 3 of the tracks on this EP on my top 150 songs. The flow is perfect. The sound is perfect. Everything. Is. Perfect.
3) Matthew Koma – “Parachute”
Matthew Koma was everywhere this year working behind the scenes and being featured on many tracks. His own effort wasn’t a let down for sure. I loved every track on the EP.
2) The Cataracs – “Gordo Taqueria”
Niles and Campa came hard with this EP showing us what they can do. Each track was catchy, enjoyable and fun. After Campa left the group, Niles remixed a few of the tracks on The Cataracs most recent EP Loud Xmas (which was released after I made this list and is amazing).
1) Diplo – “Express Yourself”
The best EP of the year by far for me. Each track gets your attention and will be stuck in your head for a while. Express Yourself will be on repeat for years to come for sure (or until we get more Diplo original tracks) Also the videos released for the tracks so far have been great.
