I went to the NJ auditions yesterday. The judges are hard to please. Out of 13ish people that tried out, only 2 made it even though there were at least 2 other people that should have made it. One of them was a R&B girl group made up of sisters, one of them was pregnant. They were good but the judges said they needed to figure out who the lead singer is and I agree.
The other person who made it though was a 17 year old girl from West Virginia named Heather. She was AMAZINGGGG. She started off singing an old Anita Baker song. Though she sounded amazing then, LA Reid asked her to sing a contemporary song. Then, she started singing a ballad version of Born This Way and her voice was on point! But after the first chorus, the beat kicked in and the arena was electrified. The crowd was up and clapping with her. She was working the crowd, doing a call and response and did a dance break, it was amazing, I'm getting chills writing about it now. The whole arena gave her a standing O. Look out for her, she's the whole package. She's well spoken, a great vocalist, great performer...the only thing she needs to get together is her look, when she first came out, you can kind of hear the audience mumbling because she looked a mess.

I went to the auditions yesterday, she's really sweet and beautiful. She was a great fit, you couldn't really tell it was her second day on the panel.

I am definitely rooting for Nicole to do well both on The X Factor and in her career. She's great.

No, just in the taping I went to. There are 4 tapings at each city, so there judges probably see 50-60 people in each city.

I'm sorry. I stopped reading when you seriously tried to assert that a "singing" burlesque troupe was better than a group of veritable pop superstars.
And I love how you Nicole stans act like the Cheryl stans are insufferable. I'm pretty sure you lot are excruciating in your own right. I can't even enjoy Nicole without someone trying to bait the Cheryl stans with an ignorant, ill-advised shade.

I think Cheryl stans attacking Nicole for no reason, threatening her at her cd signing and stuff made Nicole fans tick by the sound of Cheryl's name or Cheryl's stans.
I actually liked Cheryl. I think she's really beautiful, and is a good performer.
But she kinda threw me off last year with the whole Gamu situation.
That girl had a MOVING voice. She brought Nicole to tears. Nicole even predicted her as the winner.
But Cheryl chose Cher and than Weisel girl. Which kinda reflects to her own abilities as a performer.
She went with looks(and i think racism) instead of real talent.
Thats the difference between Nicole and Cheryl(when it comes to judging). Nicole can appreciate real talent, and god knows how much she has worked to get her where she is today. I think she'll really be a phenomenal mentor
Oh, and lets not get into the whole PCD vs GA. We all know how that's gonna turn out.

Seriously? Gamu?? Gamu did not deserve to win. I don't even think I would have taken her after the audition. She was very intense, and not in a good way. Aiden Grimshaw could make that intensity sexy. Gamu just had crazy eyes and a vacant stare, not to mention the fact that her rendition of Walking on Sunshine never would have made it past Hollywood on American Idol. She had no vibrato, no versatility, and very limited flexibility with her voice. I'll give you that she might have been better--ever so slightly--than Katie Weissel (sp?) but she was never going to win. Rebecca Ferguson did everything Gamu did, and she did it better. People just wanted to crucify Cheryl and cry racism. Even though she was, you know, married to a black man. If Gamu represents the kind of "talent" Nicole is going to promote, I'll stick with Cheryl and her ability to find someone with the whole package. Saying that Cheryl can't recognize talent is ridiculous. Cheryl's contestants won X-Factor two years in a row--Alexandra Burke, anyone? Gamu couldn't compare to her on her best day.
And anyone who thinks that PCD is better than Girls Aloud seriously needs to reevaluate their perception of reality. PCD was a forgettable pop act. Girls Aloud was (and still is) a critically-acclaimed sensation. PCD had about three or four hits. Girls Aloud had over twenty. The only thing that PCD did that was even slightly revolutionary was to introduce the talent of Nicole Scherzinger. And you want to talk anthems? Put on Call the Shots, The Promise, or Biology. Call the Shots alone ***** on everything that PCD ever did. You're certainly free to maintain your own opinion, but acting like PCD is so obviously superior to Girls Aloud is just delusional.
But, I digress. Nicole does looks gorgeous in those pictures, and I truly hope this works out for her. The best thing Fremantle can do is try and sweep all this business with Cheryl under the rug and try to move forward, post haste.

Nicole's single UK hit? try three. Plus a top 10 album. & Right There got 52 adds at radio this week alone, was the most added song to radio the week it was sent for adds, is almost top 30 on Pop radio & is about to take off. Try again honey

The war already started when Nicole replaced Cheryl and guess who started it? Isn't it always Cheryl stans who go into Nicole threads and drop nasty comments or even bring her up in Cheryl threads? seriously? no one knows GA, PCD was known worldwide. theyre revolutionary. a new format for a group that became so successful they became the biggest girl band worldwide. they made anthems unlike the songs youre telling us. i dont even know a single line from them.
funny how PCD was bigger than GA in Europe.
