Her debut opened with 24k. The Fame Monster is truly opening with at least 300k+. The article says the Deluxe and The Fame together is selling 150k, meaning it's split in some way. While the regular version of Monster is topping 200k. I doubt The Fame will increase THAT much, so a good % of that 150k combination should be The Fame Monster Deluxe.
That's hardly underperforming. Add on the album will continue to sell. Don't be surprised it's Platinum before 2010.

I think numbers will change drastically come this weekend. Remember these initial predictions are FIRST DAY projections. Black Friday plus weekend sales will boost a lot of these numbers. So some people might not want to laugh too early.

Black Friday might only boost Gaga's sales against Lambert's, since he's getting negative feedback from his AMAs performance and got some of his performances (that were going to promote the album) cancelled...
