Star Wars doesn't have as broad an audience as the Jurassic films. There are people who flat out hate that franchise, think it's nerdy and dumb, and the prequels left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I don't see SW breaking this record TBH, $170-180M opening seems like a good bet.

Star Wars has plenty of appeal.

However, it is not possible to get a 200m gross in December.

The highest opening weekend of all time in Dec is only 85m.

SW is a huge contender, in December opening weekends don't matter m as much as weekdays! The grosses tend to be spread out, I'm thinking SW opens to 150M and has insanely crazy legs !
