KoB's 2010 Presents: U DUN-goofed songs (Part IIII)
#90 - #81
#90. Taio Cruz ft. Ke$ha - Dirty Picture / Two Door Cinema Club - Something Good Can Work
- "Dirty Picture" quickly became my favourite song from Taio's "Rokstarr", so I was very happy when it was announced that it would be released as a single in 2010. I'm sure it would have been a bigger hit. Either way it was my party jam in the early parts of the year. With "Something Good Can Work", it is such a feelgood song. This song must be adored by everyone. It is used on near enough every British TV series, yet it fizzled out on the UK Charts. Don't understand it, either way, it's such an enjoyable record.
#89. Local Natives - Airplanes
- Great song with a strange sound, this song definitely introduced me to a whole heap of different bands in 2010. So this was definitely the start-off for my new music taste.
#88. Ellie Goulding - Guns And Horses
- Wouldn't have been my immediate choice for the third single released from "Lights", but a fantastic song none the less. Ellie always manages to write a nice song with perfect lyrics that any music fan will be humming along to. Definitely a major player in the May Playlist.
#87. Flo Rida feat. David Guetta - Club Can't Handle Me
- You couldn't escape David Guetta or dance movies in 2010, but Flo Rida's hook-up with Guetta or the third installment of the Step-Up trilogy was an exception. What a club banger this was! Definitely got me up on my feet in August.
#86. The Courteeners - You Overdid It Doll
- Would never have expected a record like this to have come from The Courteeners. Such a crossover song, so pop infused. This had hit written all over it, but it was never to be. This song was a good start to music in January.
#85. Cheryl Cole - The Flood
- I was happy to hear a ballad from Cheryl. I was impressed with "Don't Talk About This Love" from 3 Words, so I had high hopes for an emotional ballad with this album. She certainly delivered, and for someone who's vocals don't always deliver, her vocals definitely worked their way around this. More from Cheryl laaaaaaaater.
#84. Example - Won't Go Quietly
- Just like The Courteeners, this song was a nice early start to 2010. This song took me into 2010, and it was definitely apart of my playlist while on a January holiday in Las Vegas. This song was a great next step from "Watch The Sun Come Up", and I definitely enjoyed it a lot more than "Kickstarts".
#83. Darwin Deez - Radar Detector
- 2010 created some of the happiest songs known to man-kind. This song is among them. I couldn't help but get into this song with the major airplay and backing it got from Radio 1. I seemed to be hearing it everywhere, so I myself wanted to get behind it, and that I did. Lovely track.
#82. M.I.A. - XXXO
- Different move for M.I.A. with this song, a different step from Kala. I enjoyed the Kala album, but I loved XXXO a helluva lot more when it was first released. This song was definitely part of my Summer playlist.
#81. Sleigh Bells - Infinity Guitars
- Hard hitting guitar riff, by a small electro band. Definitely bigging this song up at the end of the year. I hope this song can waken up some of ATRL's members to brilliant music. Which this song really is. I hope to hear more from them in 2011.
