There seems to be a groups of more moderate liberals who hate radical liberals more that radical conservatives, which I don't understand. It's very odd. Like that guy a few pages back who as "as a black Democrat this is the worst thing I've seen in a while" but is it really? I mean if we're talking just politics Trump was literally elected last month and I don't see why that wouldn't be worse than this video if you're a black Democrat...
Yes the video is cringeworthy, yes it's very internet-activism with weird unfunny jokes thrown in. But they didn't even say anything that crazy, and as it's been pointed out they even said "not all white guys" in their video. The fact everyone is so horribly up in arms about this dumb YouTube video but not about other more serious injustices seems to be very telling to me...
I think it's easy to look back on past activism and say it never got ugly and that fire was never fought with fire. But really, it was. 100% peaceful, nice protest does not always work. No marginalized group has ever gotten rights by sitting up straight and saying please.
I also agree this video isn't productive in any way, but I just think that it says a lot how angry people have gotten over it. (I feel like I explained myself badly but yeah)
